A weekly club for tournament strength chess players to compete and improve their chess skills with other like minded chess players. We meet in the evenings and have a yearly competitive calendar that includes 3 ACF rated Classic time control tournaments a year which ensure our club members maintain their over the board playing strength for the many ACF tournaments held across Australia. There are low entry fees for most events with modest prize pools on offer based on entries. We also hold 1 night events through out the year such as Blitz chess nights and 2 to 3 week Rapid time control events. When possible we invite travelling Masters to play at the club as well and have had a selection of GMs, IMs and FMs play in our events. If you love chess and are serious about improving with other strong players we would love to have you join our events. We require a low annual club membership fee (currently $20), aside from the tournament entry fees payable on the first night of events. Anyone is welcome to come along and trial a night at the club for free and see if you enjoy the atmosphere. See you at our next event!
