Gold Coast Chess Club cordially invites you to commemorate the life and chess of WIM Arianne Caoili, who began her chess journey at Somerset College and tragically passed away in 2020 in her prime.

A 7-round Swiss tournament.

FIDE Rapid, ACF Quick and QJ rated

Total Prize Pool: $3500

Prizes:

Open 1st $1000, 2nd $500, 3rd $250, 4th $150, 5th $100

Female 1st $500, 2nd $200, 3rd $100

4 Rating Group Prizes of $150 and an ACF Unrated prize of $100

Juniors Girls High School – Trophies 1st, 2nd and 3rd
Junior Girls Primary – Trophies 1st, 2nd and 3rd

IMPORTANT:

Players without a FIDE ID must be Australian citizens or permanent residents otherwise they will have to register with their FIDE country of citizenship prior to registering for the event.

Eligibility: 2021 CAQ membership is required

Entry Fees: Early $40 until Oct 31st. Standard $50 Late $70 from Nov 24th

Venue: Nerang Bicentennial Community Centre,
833 Southport Nerang Rd, Nerang QLD 4211

Time control:
20 minutes + 10 seconds increment from move 1

Pairing System: Vega using Swiss Dutch FIDE JaVaFo
Tie Break: 1.Buchholz Cut 1; 2.Buchholz; 3.Direct Encounter.

For this event, rule A.4 of the Rapid Chess rules will be in operation.

Schedule:
Registration: Saturday, 27th November 8:45-9:15
Round 1 @ 9:30am
Rounds 2-7 will commence once all players are complete their rounds.

Presentations: Approximately 5:00 pm

Forfeiture time: 20 minutes from start time.

Half Point Byes: A maximum of two half point byes only will be permitted for
rounds 1 to 5.  Byes for round 1 must be notified before 6:00pm, November 26.

In case of a tie, the Tournament title will be decided on tie-break but all prize money for placings will be evenly split. Players may win one prize only, the highest prize they are eligible for.
